The Story:
Founded by Symron Bedi (Ex Aesop) Kaana is redefining London’s Indian food offering from a lunchtime focused grab and go store in the heart of the city’s New Street Square.
Nourishing neigbourhoods and bringing the uk’s favourite flavours into a lighter lunchtime offering, which has so far proved a big success.
The Project:
Kaana was a special project, we wanted to shift the perceptions of Indian cuisine in the U.K. Moving beyond the familiar snapshot of takeaways, spice and treat-led indulgence.
We worked on a look and feel that would really take people on a journey of discovery: towards an India shaped by soft, natural colour palettes, quiet Keralan backwaters and fresh, nourishing flavours. All while holding onto the unmistakable buzz and energy of one of the world’s most vibrant food cultures.
We worked with the Kaana team on all brand strategy, colour palettes, logo, packaging and store design as well as website. Wrapping Kaana into soft natural tones, a clean logo, and elevated packaging, but with a witty, fresh, energised tone of voice.
